Kelly McGougan

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, MA, NCC

My focus is to help clients reconnect with their inner strength, find clarity through life’s changes, and build lives that feel authentic and aligned. I believe therapy is a space where we rise—one step at a time—toward a more grounded and empowered self.

I understand how easy it is to feel lost in life’s demands—whether shaped by career, motherhood, relationships, perfectionism, or past experiences. Like many of my clients, I’ve walked through burnout, significant transitions, and the challenge of creating a life that honors both personal growth and everyday responsibilities.

With a background in corporate leadership, human resources, coaching, and now as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I bring both practical insight and clinical expertise to my work. I specialize in supporting women, mothers, professionals, and neurodivergent individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, postpartum transitions, trauma, perfectionism, and major life changes.

Because true healing is more than just talk, I integrate evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT, and Family Systems Therapy) with a holistic, strengths-based approach. Together, we’ll work to create meaningful change that feels rooted in your life—not just inside the therapy room.

Whether you’re seeking space to process, tools to move forward, or a place to reconnect with your authentic self—I’m honored to walk alongside you in this work.

Professional Experience

I bring a unique blend of business leadership, coaching, and clinical counseling to my therapy practice. I earned a double bachelor’s degree in International Business and Marketing from Florida International University and quickly advanced into corporate leadership roles.

I spent nearly a decade in corporate leadership, human resources, and professional coaching—experience that gave me a deep understanding of burnout, high-functioning stress, and the complexities of sustaining professional success alongside personal well-being. Over time, I recognized the need to sharpen my clinical skills to better support clients in achieving meaningful, lasting change. This led me to return to graduate school, where I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.

Today, I integrate advanced clinical training with real-world insight to help clients navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, postpartum mental health, trauma, perfectionism, and life transitions. I also draw from my own lived experience—having personally navigated career burnout, motherhood, and the ongoing work of cultivating a grounded, sustainable life.
